Culpepper offers a unique perspective on public schools, as he shares his experience
from the Corps to the classroom. His personal stories are entertaining and
compelling. From his scorn of politically correct fads, to his disgust of
teacher union jihadists -- Lee's writing shoots to kill. He delivers an occasionally
needed reality check to today's teenagers, and he offers clear insight
into powerful leadership principles for educators and parents alike.
Trained by the best, Lee shares the basics of
Marine Corps leadership. The Corps' concepts are highly regarded by Fortune
500 companies and business schools alike. In fact, Inc Magazine describes
Marine Corps Officer Programs as "The best management training program in
America" (Inc, Apr 98). Top MBA programs -- including the University of
Pennsylvania's renowned Wharton School of Business -- send students to experience
Marine-officer training first hand. Placed in tremendously stressful and
chaotic situations, the students learn to make effective, quick decisions and
take savvy, decisive actions.
Lee takes the Corps' philosophy and applies it to
the classroom, as he inspires and challenges students to achieve their true
potential. In 2004, Lee was awarded Teacher of the Year honors by the United
States Air Force JROTC unit at his southern California high school -- which
enrolled nearly
4,000 students.
Lee and his wife, Heather, now live in North
Carolina with their two bulldogs, Mr. Meatball and Noodles.
